Abortus pada kucing akibat infeksi feline panleukopenia virus

چکیده

Feline panleukopenia virus (FPV) yang menginfeksi kucing dalam keadaan bunting diketahui dapat mengakibatkan abortus, mumifikasi fetus, kematian fetus dini dan resorption fetus. Kucing domestik betina berumur 7 bulan dibawa ke Rumah Sakit Hewan Pendidikan, Fakultas Kedokteran Hewan, Universitas Udayana dengan gejala muntah, diare, lemas tidak mau makan. Pemeriksaan ultrasonografi terlihat 5 hidup usia kebuntingan 39,7 ± 2 hari. Hasil pemeriksaan hematologi menunjukkan terjadi leukopenia, anemia makrositik hipokromik trombositopenia. Rapid test kit antigen FPV hasil positif. Terapi kasus ini dibagi tahap yaitu pengobatan injeksi selama 3 hari antibiotik, antiemetik, ATP multivitamin. mengalami abortus pada ke-2 ke-3 sehingga dilanjutkan terapi oral antiprotozoa cefadroxil, metronidazole, adsorben emolien serta cairan ringer laktat diberikan bersamaan pakan pemulihan. Proses pemulihan ditandai ada muntah mulai nafsu makan ke-3. Feses sudah berbentuk semisolid skor (skala 1-7) ke-6. pulang oleh pemilik rawat jalan obat oral. Tujuh setelah telah dinyatakan sembuh.
